Question Havent driven for 2 weeks, suddenly trans leak on driveway?

2007 Sport Trac V8

Couple days ago i noticed about a 3" diameter leak under the trans, next day it was about 5" diameter and i havent even driven the car for almost 2 weeks! I took a look under and appears as if its the trans oil pan gasket, but I swiped my finger ABOVE the flange area of the mating surface between oil pan and trans housing and it was wet. How the heck does it develop a leak when i havent even driven it for a while?
My driveway has an incline and truck is parked facing uphill, the leak is toward the rear section of the pan but that may be because of the slope. I just dont see anything within its area that could leak... crack in housing?

It likely didn't just develop the leak while sitting, it's probably been leaking awhile but at a slow enough rate that you never noticed. Now that it's been sitting, the leak has dropped enough fluid that it became obvious.

As my dad used to say, "Transmission fluid is a lot like blood. A little bit looks like a lot." It does a pretty good job of wicking across porous materials such as concrete and packed dirt and looking like a good sized puddle.

Actually its leaking a lot now. I degreased and rinsed the ground the other day, and overnight its a 12" diameter mess now. The driveshaft seal looks clean. I see a plug that might be causing it, but ill have to remove a rear bracket to access it
