Christmas Truck Bling

Weather was good today so I popped the lockpick in. Works as advertised. Wished it worked like they told us it would "in the next update" but it is nice to nav on the go.
Pretty easy install. Hard wired my radar detector while I had the dash out. Now it is only on when the key is in the ignition.

I installed and removed my SyncLockpick wasn't really what I was hoping for... see my other post...
I'm looking at some of the same LED lights that you ordered as well. Thanks for the reviews on your other purchases

and I used one of these straight, direct wired cords from Escort:
and mounted it in the little cubby hole under the 4x4 selector switch. Pulled the cubby out and drilled a 1/2" hole in the top, back and fed the wires through and velcroed the unit to the top of the cubby. Routed the wire over the steering column and up the left side of the dash. Pretty simple. Power wire went through the firewall to the fuse block and happened to hit a fuse that is hot when the key is in the ignition switch, whether the ACC is on or not. Even though the radar detector turns itself off, it doesn't do it for 4 hours after you stop moving and that is too long for the little blue lights to be screaming "steal me", so this is perfect for me. Key out = detector dark and almost invisible where it is.
While I am at it I will show off my 10 watt LED backup lights.
Close up: (yes, the truck is dirty today... )

The Switchbacks did require a load equalizer but they went back. I replaced them with PutcoPure 3157 Ambers which do not need the resistors and the look/work great.
