Need help with locating ECU box code on 2003 E450 - First Time poster
Hello All!
Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Peter with Krazy K Motorsports and I run an online business selling premium brand performance products at discounted prices.
Here is the problem. I have a customer with a 2003 E 450 7.3L who has ordered a TS Performance 6 Position chip and in order to burn the chip with TS Performance tune files specific to his vehicle, I need to acquire the box code off his ECU box (see image below for reference). The problem is that I have no idea how to advise him to locate it. According to a Rep at TS Performance, most box codes on the ECU box are located in such a position that the ECU box has to be removed in order to read it. As such, I assume my customer will have to remove it. I have little time to locate a "how to" online and after having no success with a few searches, decided I would ask you guys here at the forum for assistance.
Question(s): Where is the ECU box located on the 2003 E450? Will the box code be visible w/o having to remove the ECU box? If not, could one of you guys post instructions and or, links plus pictures (if possible). Time is of the essence here and I will definitely reward those who assist me with this one way or another!

You will have to remove the PCM to see the code.
Use these instructions.

BTW, I haven't heard of DP Tuners, how are they? If they are good quality products and popular enough, I may have to look into adding it to my product lineup.
If you are looking to purchase any performance related products, PM me with the brand(s) and part number(s) and I'll give you a nice discount for replying so quickly.
Thanks again! Much appreciated!

Not to knock you, but if you do not know of DP-Tuner or their products I will not be utilizing your service. I tend to stick with vendors who support the forum and know there products for the customer. Granted it is a large marketplace out there and I understand knowing all products is difficult. But using the forums for information for your customers and promoting your business is not the right way.
Thanks for the offer though!

No offense taken.
For the record however, I never came here to promote my business. I came here seeking assistance and wanted to offer my thanks, thats all.
Thanks again. The offer still stands.
