where to get a breakout box?

im interested in getting a breakout box to do my own diagnostics on injectors. my #3 cyl failed a contribution test. ive read that these tests can have flaws. ive also read that a breakout box is a more reliable way to check injectors.....so what models are good and where do i get one? thanks

As far as I know that's a dealer item only. Probably very Expensive. There are code readers for a computers (laptop) that work like a break out box, or at least give a bunch more info than just a regular code reader.

Autoenginuity is on my 'buy list' when the $$ free up.

You can buy one from Mission Valley Ford in San Jose, CA for about a grand. Or, you can PM me with your email address and I'll email you the instructions on how to make your own for about 10% of that price.

Welcome to the FTE!

There is a write-up in the 7.3L PSD Tech Folder for an injector breakout box and I have pasted the link below.

Enjoy and have a nice day!

P1670 code and break out box

Can a breakout box be made for the IDM and PCM? I have a P1670 that I’m chasing down. I’m reading a trouble shooting guide from the files and I need a break out box for the IDM. Thank for your time.
