CANT FIND CODE

On the drivers side, under dash area, behind the kick panel . Look for a small silver box about 1 1/2 inches thick, 8 inches wide and about 10 inches long. The code will be on it or on the wiring harness going into it.

If you can't find it there, open the hood and look for the ECU connector:

On the side of the connector or on the edge of the box it connects to, facing away from the inner fender, you'll see the code. Its the largest letting you'll see.

CANT FIND CODE

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 09-Nov-02 AT 03:23 PM (EST)]I have the same problem, 1994 F-150, 351, auto

I see the silver box, but it's behind the E-brake assembly and a lot of other stuff... so I got the code from under the hood on the connector.

My question though is this: Do we have to remove all the E-brake stuff and all the bracing to install the chip into the computer (silver box)???

When looking at mine, it looks like theres no way to get back there to the computer (silver box).

Is there instructions posted online ?

I would like to see how much work this will be before buying the chip. Thanks!

CANT FIND CODE

It can come out by removing the e-brake or through the engine compartment. We supply instructions for removing it via the engine compartment. We don't supply the instructions online because we don't want our experience and work putting together the instructions to be stolen by other dealers. Some have poor ethics and have even gone so far as stealing animations from one of our banner graphics.
