Got in my truck this morning and noticed the service engine light, oil light and gas cause were all still on. It also had little dashes in the odometer box. The seatbelt alarm goes off as well. Any ideas as to what is going on?
Looking at the dashes in the odometer window part of the problem, I would say that it is a PATS problem. Check the fuse in the Central Junction Box (CJB) under the dash on the driver side of the truck. F2.30 is a 30 amp fuse that is for the PATS and other things. Good luck!
hey this is an older thread but i got this problem too in addition to the daytime runnin lights staying on. for the head lights stayen on i would say that something is wrong with the drl module probably,
but the issue is with the cluster lights. is there a module for those?
I would ask if your ignition switch is fully in the off position. I know on my truck going from ACC to off I can not quite get to off and take the key out and everything will still work.
the switch is off. the radio and interior lights are off. just the low oil, abs light, and the check engine light (which is on when the truck is turned on also<been that way for a while>) also there is a rapid clicking sound as if the clicker for the turn signals is going super fast and there is a single ding sound as the door is being opened
its a 99 f150 4.2l v6 2wd by the way if it helps. the friggin cluster drained my battery and its raining and i don't even get payed yet gaaah this sort of electrical thing seems to happen every week
I would have to agree with projectSHO89, the leaking windshield has allowed water to get into the fuse panel under the dash where the GEM is located. Water and electric circuits do not mix. Good luck!
