Radio bracket/mount

I have a 1976 ford f-150 and im looking to putting in a new radio but i cant find anything like a bracket or mount. The person before me had a newer radio put in but who ever installed the radionjust cut the bottem of the heater/radio mount and used a strip of metal to connet the back of the radio to the top of the ash tray and broke the outer trim on the front of the dash to get the trim back on and that same trim support the front of the radio, any ideas on how to fix or at least support better, pictures would be wonderful and thanks for the time

You can get one of these NORTH COUNTRY SPECIALTIES ®

It seems a bit pricey, but would cut out any metal fab work you need to do to fit a DIN radio in our trucks. You'll still have to trim the radio opening a bit on trim bezel though.

Are you able to glue the trim bezel back together where the PO broke it?

No, talking to Bronco2x84. It looks like the NCS radio bracket does require a significant cut into the factory trim bezel. When I customized my bracket to fit a DIN radio, I also indented the A/C ducting in the dash so the radio would fit in properly. This allowed me to get away with minimal triming of my bezel to accomodate the new radio.

Use the holes to mark your center line then make side brackets to mount the stereo.

What fmc400 did in this post turned out real nice!
