You'll need a computer and harness to run the e4od. They arent cheap transmissions to rebuild or buy. Others will most likely add to that. If you dont know about the gear vendors overdrives, give that a search. Do you know what rear end gears you have? My idi with 3.55's isnt revving all that high at 55 in 4th gear, which would be the same direct drive as 3rd in your c6

Do it! :)

E4OD's suck anyway.

They second guess you and you have to wait on 'em while they
unlock and lock back up again and then up and give you better
gas mileage than a manual transmission in the process.

Oh wait, well the E4OD doesn't suck all-the-way. ;)

Now ain't that a pretty sight?
That big ol' hunk of crap is outta there. :)

Here's another pretty sight...

You'll need a flywheel and a few other things tho. :/
Those things are listed all over FTE, just search for *ZF*.
ZF is too short for the search to accept so add the two stars. :)

Zf swap is the way to go unless you need to keep it automatic. My GF cant drive a stick very well and won't even try to drive my F250.

Electrically I had to do a few things, but I swapped EECs tho.

That part was easy with my wiring diagrams and other books
and will be easy for you too, with a little help. ;)

I bypassed the "safety" switch because Ford didn't seem to
think my '75 F150 needed that stuff back then, so I figured
my '91 Bronco didn't need it now either. LOL YMMV on that?

I've taught a lot of people and kids how to drive and to-use a clutch
too. I get a real kick out of it! :) Even from way over here I believe I
can "fix" your "problem", believe it? :) She needs someone besides
-you- to teach her, that's all. You could prob'ly teach your buddy's GF
no-sweat and have fun too but your GF? ...you can't. :/

Just the way it is.

You see, I could buy your GF a new dishwasher for her birthday and
she'd like it. ...let's see you get away with that one. ;)
