Drifting Your Truck

I know its a legal question, but I have a question. I did a few rounds of drifting in a county parking lot by the river. No one was in the lot, and I didnt get caught. A friend of mine said they are pulling the tapes after seeing some minor tire tracks. What charges come with that? Can the camera get my license plate from a distance while I was driving? It is in V.A. too.

So you were "practicing skid recovery" in a safe spot, right? I don't see anything wrong with that, I mean it's not like you were just doing donuts and being destructive. (I'd stick with that story)

I just hope the kid who told me was bull****ting. Hes a pathalogical lier. Im 17 and a wreckless driving, failure to maintain control, and destruction of county property wouldnt be good. About how much would fines be? I didnt have any criminal intention.

Dont worry about it. I doubt they have your plate. Most place's don't have hi def cams in the parking lot where your at your own risk to use anyways. Also unless you got out and pissed for the camera they can't prove you behind the wheel. Now take this slight fear you have in your chest right now and use it to think about what your about to do next time...

I am. I didnt want to do it there, but I was pressured into it. I think it was stupid of me and I wont do it again. I just hope I dont get summoned. I learned a lesson and nothing was damaged.

well if you get summoned just take it as lesson learned, i mean you could say you were trying to practice skid recovery and what not...but as far as VA laws I can't say what will happen to you and all that legal stuff, look up your local laws is the best I can give honestly, know the laws as best as you can...ignorance is not an excuse...

your fine. the kid who told u they are pulling tapes because of skid marks is an idiot. and even if they did get you on camera, they cant prove you were driving and i doubt they could have seen your plate number. if they have cameras, get the vids and show us the donuts!!!

I dont want to see the video, even those I was doing some awsome 360s. My friend did them also and did a donut. He went around in circle about a dozen times. The parking lot was for water control/treatment by the river. No other vehicles were there so I know there were no employees. Hope if there are cameras, there ****ty.

Well.....Wreckless driving here in Ky,along with wanton endangerment, speeding.......

Here buddy, unless you are goin down on the judge.....That's jailtime, points against your license or a revoked license....Simple as that...

DOn't get me wrong man.....I LOVE playing around on a wet parking lot....

But the 5-0 HATES it.....An thats porbable cause for'em to yank me to jail, revoke my license, impound my truck due to illegal tint (5% all around, extra layer of 5% on the rear window....My turn signal having no reflective prism material "DOT NOT-Approved"...)......So yeah...I pick and chose....

Again as other have said.....They pull ya in...Deny the hell outta it..Tell'em your friend (That told you this chit) was the driver, and you're pissed as heck about it....

I used to do donuts in the walmart parking lot all the time. They have cameras all over but they never did anything. Learned my lesson though... Tires are expensive! lol

But one time playing in the rain I got pulled over and the cop said" To much power for ya?" I said "no just being stupid" and he said "haha okay drive safe"
