1996 7.3 intake

hey new here just bought a 1996 350 5sp with the 7.3 and about 125,000mi. its a daily driver and work truck. im looking to get rid of the oem air intake, ive done some research and like the afe cold air and riff raff. if price was not a concern which one would you pick for your truck? from my understanding the riffraff filter is available at most auto part stores correct? and the afe is an oiled filter? and whats the difference between the stage 1 and 2 afe intakes? thanks.

Your best option and probably cheapest is just to order a kit from clay at riffraff. Most everyone on here has. I built a diy, but same thing as clays kit but its not as fancy

Also, welcome to fte, lots of good guys on here.

If I had my choice for work truck a paper element which is the 6637. Performance app with a little DD id go afe filter more flow but a little less importance on every little particle. More about moving the air.

Im running 6637 and works great for a DD. Like you said filter is easily accessible.

You'll see that almost everyone on here runs a 6637 of some type. RiffRaff sells a complete kit for around a bill.

I would definately get a 6637 kit from clay, i had an afe and then switched to this and noticed alot more air flow and better performance. The kit is cheaper and better.
