Hard start when motor is hot
My F250 351W start fine when cold. When hot it turns over but its like the battery is dead. The battery is only 3 years old. The charging circut is fine. I had the starter tested and it failed, so I replaced it. It still has the hot start problem even with new starter. The ground are all good. This problem arose after I replaced the head gaskets? Any suggestions?

Try this test;
Next time you try to start it when the motor is hot and it dosen't want to crank over, release the key (stop cranking)
pump the gas peddle to the floor 3-4 times to dilute the intake charge
try starting it again
If it spins over at normal speed before starting (once the flooding clears out)
This indicates your timing is too far advanced
If it still cranks hard after the 3-4 peddle pumps this indicates;
low voltage to starter (positive cables or negative ground)
or
bad starter
or
heat soaked starter
