You need to get it in for the recall ASAP. The blinking light is the first indicator that the wiring has rubbed through and is tripping the light. You are probably running your time really short before you randomly end up with a face full of airbag, which can be pretty hazardous. There is NO warning other than the light blinking before it explodes on ya.
Get it in soon, like today.

I had the same problem about 2 months ago. Mine turned out to be the passenger airbag light on the dash was burned out. I fixed it myself by ordering the part from the stealer. Pull the trim from around the radio to gain access to the light. It's an LED light so you have to replace the unit as a piece and not just the light. I believe the part was under $20. Best thing to do is take the part you need to the dealer and show it to them. They had a hard time locating the part in the computer and I had to come down with the part so they could see what I was talking about. It's also a special order part. Should only take 2 - 3 days to get in.
