auto... I can wait a few and it will light up the dash when the key is turned for GP's and then will just go black again. rechecked thge battery terms and the neg side on both was loose even with the nuts tight. going to try and throw a washer on there and see if I can snug it up.

If your terminals are loose, that could definitely cause your problem.

Edit: Nevermind, I see that you resolved your issue.

Thanks again for the quick replies...

Could this have been the stalling problem I was talking about yesterday? stalled on me twice coming to a stop, but the dash did not go black. felt like i stalled a Manual trans (mines auto); lost P/S and P/B but the battery symbol stayed lit up. and started like normal once back in park.
This may be off the present topic, but my WTS light will come on like normal and will turn off after 2-3 sec when before it would stay lit for 20-30 secs. Could this be the same problem? doesn't seem like they would be related at all, but a possible other symptom? The truck starts fine after waiting 15-20 sec on the first turn of the key also.

Yes it could be related to the stalling problem. About the WTS light, mine use to come on like 10 sec, and after the chip installation only 2-3 sec. so maybe is the same of yours, when did you install your chip?

You might want to go back and trace the wiring for your chip. Something may be coming loose. It happened to me a couple of times and I had the hardest time figuring out the problem.

That sounds exactly like a problem with the torque converter. If you've accurately described the problem, it's almost certainly some kind of problem with the TC.
