I use an 1 3/8 wrench, i have to keep flipping the wrench over every quarter turn but it works just fine, done it numerous times. probly a little more time consuming than a socket but it saved me 20 bucks
I bought the Snap-On combo socket for the oil filter and fuel filter. It sure is a lot nicer using that socket rather than the impact socket I used the first time doing the filter.
The Snap-On part number is S3624. It is 24mm on one end and 36mm on the other. It has a 3/8" drive in the middle/inside. I think I only paid about $20 for off the Snap-On truck. I didn't know there were things on that truck under $50. Had it for several years and love it!
