Saginaw type PS pump....E series owners...help!
I did a search but didn't get anything very specific in return so here goes. I am seriously considering a PS pump swap in my 92 Bronco w/ 302. I want to do the Saginaw conversion. My question...does anyone know the Ford part number(s) for the necessary bracketry and hardware to swap the Ford type pump to the Saginaw pump? I know at least some E-series vans had the Saginaw pump from the factory up through 1990. I am just trying to get the necessary components assembled prior to tearing the old one out. Any assistance will be much appreciated.
I'm just tired of listening to the Ford pump(s) whine at me. Not to mention the bigger the tires get and tougher the obstacles, the harder its getting to maneuver the truck.

I did the swap on my 89 Bronco w/351 just a couple of weeks ago. I picked up the pump and the bracket from a 93 E150 w/351 in the salvage yard. It was a direct bolt on. You can use your return hose as is, but you have to get a new pressure side hose. I used a NAPA hose p/n 7-2221 (if I remember right it's for the 89 E150. I had put
on the hose for the 93 just to be driving.)
Real straightforward swap - easiest to use the pump and bracket complete. You don't have to mess around with removing the PS pulley that way.
Hope this helps

I got a pump, bracket, hoses and pulley from a local yard from a '93 E150 as well. That was all I had to buy to install in my '90. Newer trucks with the ABS valve down there might have issues?? I used the stock van high pressure line, and retained my return line.
Here's how the van high pressure line sits with my steering box:

The bracketry is the same from 302 to 351, so you can get the stuff from either motor - it'll bolt up.
For part #'s you might take a look at this page:

IMO the Sag pumps are pretty bomber. You'd be $$$$100's ahead to get it all used and bolt it in. Chances are good your junkyard pump will work fine. If not, you have a core.
