460 piston orientation

I'm putting together my short block ( heads are still in the shop ). I'm installing Keith Black Hypereutectic Pistons with a 33cc dish. The piston don't have the notch denoting front of engine. I "think" the flat portion goes towards the intake ( inside ) and the dish towards the exhaust ( outside ). Am I correct?

There's a pretty small cut that might be considered a valve relief cut in one corner of the dish if that makes sense.

I'm assuming your KB pistons have a d-shaped dish, just look at the heads and match the quench pads (the flat part) with the pistons. I other words, the dish in the pistons reflects the combustion chamber.

If there is a valve relief cut in the piston it will be for the intake valve.

Scroll down a bit, all engines with dish pistons have the dish to the exhaust side and the quench pads (flats) to the center.

Thanks guys. I was looking for the info last weekend and got on here and dug around and found a similar sight to the one OldRacerGuy linked to. Found what I needed and got everything together. Now if my Carb and Heads would hurry and show up I'd be golden!!!!! Thanks again!!
