REV-X oil additive rocks for injector stiction problems

so i have had the "normal" cold start issues on my 03 6.0 diesel and have done several things that you all have contributed input to. some small improvements but still not fixed. batts, FICM upgrade, oil weight change, icp and ipr replacement ,etc.. so the last thing before replacing injectors on my list was to try either the Rev-X or the Hot Shots oil additives. I went the rev-x way and after the first initial hard start, this diesel has never fired so quickly. this morning 36 deg F outside ,not plugged n, and i dont think the truck cranked for more than 1 second and fired off. runs a ton smoother when cold and not as noisy cold either. Thanks to ALL on FTE that helped , saved me some $$$ for now

Is it only for diesel or will it work in gas rigs? I have a Jeep Grand Cherokee 5.9 Limited that is a hard starter. I keep being told that is normal for the Jeep 5.2 & 5.9. It would be worth a try. I have tried about everything else. The one that has worked the best so far is a bottle of injector cleaner from the Dollar Store, not all the major brand stuff.

rev-x

dont know if it would work on your jeep? the problem with the 6.0 diesel is the injectors are operated by high psi oil ,and the oil industry has removed some of the additives that keep lubricity up. the spools in the injectors start to wear a little causing them to stick, which inturn causes the hard starts. i dont know about any other systems. i did a google search for rev-x , went to their website and read. there could be some info on there. i remember reading you can add to differentials , gear boxes etc. but ???? it was about $60 for 8 oz. kinda spendy but the ford injectors are around $200 each and i need 8 of them so $60 is cheap.

Thanks for your response. Yea it seems that all this fuel mileage crap they have taken out a lot of good stuff from oils.
