Hey guys,

I'm a regular poster on the 80-86 F-Series forum, but I just bought me a 92 Eddie Bauer.

Got it cheap (real cheap), and it has issues.

I guess this is the place to hang out at, right??

Look at what I got!

Thanks everyone for the Welcomes!

For my reference, what is the compatible year range for parts? This is a 92, so what is the year range for body and interior parts? I like junk yards, I've gotten BUNCHES of stuff for my 85 F150 there. Now I need to start looking for Bronco parts....

92 through the end of production in 96 is the interior component (door panels etc.) range. Seats and the like go back much further. The body is the same from door-to-aft from 1980-1996 with a few tail light variations. The doors changed in 92 (vent windows are slightly different) but they still swap into the older body and vice-versa. The front end is 92-96... (97 if you pull parts from and F-250 or bigger for the front end parts). The tailgate is the same back to about the mid 80's... can't recall for certain but the location of the striker bolts and latches changed somewhere in there. But the gate glass from 1980-96 is the same. Most any rear bumper from any F-series or Bronco from 80-96 (97 SD's) will work. Fibreglass tops will interchange from 80-96 but prior to 92 will NOT have rear seat belt shoulder harness mountings or the high-mount stop light above the rear window. Most of the glass is interchangeable with the exception of the vent and door windows already mentioned.

Mechanical and electrical parts are a different story and don't necessarily follow the changes in styling. Check the Red Link in my signature for more details.

Ha!

I am constantly bouncing back and forth between extreme gratitude, and righteous indignation. The po had a VERY heavy hand dealing with minor issues, and he has created some major issues because of it.

I feel like I "saved" this truck.

Anyways, I had a budget to work with in finding a second vehicle, and I came in $1,000.00 to the good on this deal. That gives me a grand to fix this baby up. I'm sure I can do it, with your guys help.

Are we up to the task? I say "Hell Yea!!"
