When pressure is zero either the pump drive shaft or the pump has failed. As you learned solenoids can cause the wrong pressure, but not zero pressure.

A reman. Motorcraft 5 speed is around $2,500 with a 75,000-100,000 3 year warranty.

send the trany to suncoast transmission and have them rebuild it with quality parts and put in a real filter in line . There is another transmission co. out there but cant remember the name but they put in better parts. My dealer told me they don't put in line filters till you bring them back for a rebuild . I told him thats stupid it a $4,000 trany.
