Wasnt 96 1/2 when the body changed. So I assume not to confuse people anymore with body/drivetrain changes.

The differences are primrally with the EFI system as '96 was the first year for OBD-2 in light trucks, otherwise the truck is identical.

Oh yeah. As long as you don't have the next gen body, and I assume you don't because your not a dunce, the parts switch out. They just can't label the 95s as interchangeable because they changed 150s half a year before the 250s and 350s. If they look the same, they are.

as long as were not talking about engine stuff, you are safe. most of the engine stuff is interchangeable as well, but as conan said, yours is OBDII and the 95 and older are OBDI

1 year is the difference.....just kidding, check out jegs, I think they have the y pipe that will work. Mechanically should be the same as 95, but it is nice to be able to plug in a code reader to get codes on obdII vehicles.

exhaust on 95/96 may be a bit different. I had both years but with 351's. The OBD-II truck had two extra O2 Sensors so the exhaust may be slightly different to accommodate them.
