I read several threads where FTE'rs were telling guys to get an airbox from a 460 for their truck because it draws from the fender or grill or something. Well I just bought an '89 with a 460 and it's the same box my '90 302 had. The tubes from the intake go to the top of the box and then there's just a big hole on the bottom of the box towards the engine side.
Is the 460 box ppl are talking about on the '92 + trucks or is mine not the right one for my truck?
The tubes going to the throttle body and box are the same. You're missing the part that goes in the hole in the bottom of the box. That is the piece that everybody talks about.

So the piece i'm missing goes from the hole in the box to the hole in the radiator support to feed fresh air from the grill, right?
