Question Seafoam or Power Service whos uses them and how

Just curious who uses which one and why? Is one better than the other? With the crappy fuel these day is it a good idea to run an additive in every tank full or add a little 2 stroke oil?

I run PS in my truck. The silver bottle when temps over 40 deg F, the white bottle for temps under 40 F. It seems to run better, less smoke on warmup, little more MPG, easier starts. I've used the seafoam too just think the PS is less $ & works fine.

But to answer your question I run white bottle in the winter, just to try and help gelling. After reading the above link, ill no longer bother running the grey bottle in the summer

nice write up reps sent. I know a lot of people that say dont run bio diesel-what do you guys think? Obviously lubricity is great.

Depending on where you live biodiesel is fine. I have run up to 20% in the summer and 5% in the winter with no issues. For a fuel additive, I use Schaeffers...

If you live in Spring, you can pretty much run the PS gray bottle year round. I keep a bottle of white on hand (or some Howe's) for those cold fronts that drop the temps down real cold at night for a few days, but otherwise just run the gray stuff. 74 here today so I'm not too worried about gelling fuel at the moment.

The 7.3 loves bio. Keep an eye on the weather this time of year and keep the tank full if you run it during a cold snap. I'd stay away from Sea Foam. Smells too much like alcohol to me and alcohol isn't good for the injectors.

No, I'm just North of Hillsboro. There are several NBS guys in the Houston area and a moderator for the Excursion section lives in Spring (at least it's a 7.3 Ex). I get down that way every once in a while. I think some of the Houston locals are planning another get together if you're interested. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...ton-texas.html

I run powerservice grey, trucks seems to run better and I do pick up milage. Any wear improvment is better then running with out. With the miles I have on my truck, what is worn is worn and my injectors are already getting tired so when I change my injectors I'l see about gettting something better. I find it harder to get the varieties that you guys get for wear improvers up in Canada. They can be found but are not available everywhere.

A good read. bio-diesel here. I run b-20 year round. its winterized in the freezing months. i dont use additives other than whats in it from the pump. never have any problems with gelling. its been in the single digit temps around here too. there are occasions where I cant get biodiesel. ot= I dont know whats the problem with buying biodiesel in the detroit area. I gotta drive a half hour to get it. /ot in which case i use the PS white bottle stuff. i dont really measure it, just kinda pour some in before i pump. it smells terrible so i dont keep it in the cab.
