Which exhaust?

I have looked at a new exhaust for my 96, 350,cc,lb,PSD from both RIF RAF and from TYMAR both of them 4" with muffler. Both seem fine to me is there one better than the other for some reason? The RIF RAF is a 3" dp and the TYMAR has a 3" to 4" dp other than that they seem about the same?
thanks RB

Both would be good products. I don't know too much about Clay's dp but the 3-4 inch dp from tymar is what I have with a 4" straight pipe after that and I like it a lot. I don't think you'll go wrong with either one.

As long as you steer clear of the MBRP DP you should be in good shape. I have a Tymar also.

If OPs looking at a 4" turbo back exhaust at rif raf that is an MBRP system and has an MBRP down pipe. whats wrong with them? for 508.00 seems like an ok deal for a stainless exhaust. I was considering one myself.

I have no previous experience with MBRP dp's... however from reading the fourms, I wouldn't want to try and deal with it, but to each his own...
I do have experience with the diamond eye dp and tymar and I know both of those will work with minor 'massaging' of the firewall

Couple of threads...

Cody (cleatus12r) has had to install a few of the mbrp's and won't anymore because of fit issues. Overtime, the cab mounts get worn out, and make it difficult to get the pipe in. A body lift would make fit easier

FWIW, the "Tymar" down pipe is a Diamond Eye piece. Most folks seem happier with the fit of the Diamond Eye down pipes over the MBRP.

It also depends on the truck to. Some engines are mounted more forward or back than others. If the engine is mounted more toward the front the install will be easier.

My Tymar "Diamond Eye" 3"-4" downpipe fit good with little massaging.

Humm... welp looks like I retract my previous statement. So you could get one and chances are it will fit. Just know that some folks do have issues with them... please let us know what you end up getting and how it fits, always like to have threads with an end result.

My MBRP downpipe was a bear to install- no matter which way I turned or twisted it, it wanted to rub up against something. The rest of the system went in very easily.

Don't retract it too much Rob, I know I've read more have had a real hard time with the mbrp than a good fit..

Hey, to each his own right? All anyone can do is gather information and make an educated decision from it. I wouldn't wish bad luck on anyone, just hope whatever Ken ends up with works for him (especially in a truck with only 71K Miles!)
