Duraspark II module need grounding ?

Duraspark II module need grounding ?

Ha'yall Dose the duraspark II module need to be grounded ?. I mounted mine on the fender-well that is plastic and wondering if I should of hooked a ground wire to it. As the truck runs kinda funny sometimes when wet / cold tries to die.

The factory mounted the DS2 box to the plastic fender, and I don't recall seeing a grond wire attached to mine.
The box should be grounded thru the wiring itself.

I would, it is a good idea to ground it. All of mine have been on metal fenders, but I run a seperate ground wire to the case anyway. Of course, I'm a ground freak. Can't swear it makes a diff, but I've never had one fail, maybe just lucky.

Dura Spark grounds thru the black wire in the distributer. Sometimes you can have problems with the ground there. Don

As stated, it grounds through the distributor, no connections to the case inside so no point in grounding it-
I have had a bad ground at the distributor before and wound up splicing into the black ground wire to run a lead to the battery negative terminal. Never had an issue after that.
