I think I have come to the conclusion that a LUK clutch is going in. The truck has 320k on it, it was the Wife's work truck (large animal Vet) till the clutch problem last week and the company has now sold it to me. to many fixes to list in the last 5 years. She has had it for the last 180-200k. Heavy load its hole life.

The trans shifts and sounds fine as of last week when it went to the shop. What do you all think is it time to tear it down and see if any thing is bad inside?
Or bushing the shaft and go till the trans makes some sounds?
How long do these trans last?

Its $750 min $1250 full rebuild at a local shop to do the input or $80 kit for input.

I am doing the full rebuild not worth having it in the back of my mind.

Still not sure on the clutch.

That's the way I would go with that millage. Mine has 330k and next time it needs a clutch I'm gonna do a full rebuild with the 6.0 input shaft. The PO said it had a new clutch last fall though so hopefully be a while.
