66 F100 / 351W & C6 Transmission - Which Flywheel?

Hi,

I have been searching and searching but it has come to an information overload at this point.

I have a 66 F-100 that has a 351 Windsor installed in it. The engine seems to have come from a 71 Torino (Casting Code: DlOE-6016-AA) and the C6 is a monster transmission C6.

I will be removing an old 4 in the floor standard transmission so I can not reuse that flywheel.

I found a flywheel at autozone and it is the correct 28oz balanced flywheel. However, what diameter would I be looking for and what would the tooth cont need to be?

Here is the autozone link to the flywheel: Pioneer/Flywheel - Automatic Transmission (FRA-205) | 1971 Ford Torino 8 Cylinders H 5.8L 2BL | AutoZone.com

Thanks

Any thoughts on this or is there a better place to ask?

Two choices: C5AZ-6375-T replaced by EOAZ-6375-A or D1ZZ-6375-A / 351W listed in first column.

the 164 tooth flexplate is the right diameter, but that az listing does not tell me if it is for a C6 or a C4 - they are different and you will need the C6 one.

Thanks NumberDummy, your a huge help. I will probably be needing your help with part numbers a lot more in the coming months.

rubydist - Thanks for the info. The one at autozone is the 164 and it says it replaces Ford part # EOAZ-6375-A which matches what NumberDummy said. I also looked at an 85 351W and the flywheel said it replaced Ford part #D1ZZ-6375-A which is also the number that NumberDummy stated above.

I assume that would mean either flywheel would work for my setup.

Post 3: What does the 1965/72 car parts catalog chart say inre to C6? If the application states A/T .. it's the same C4/C6/FMX

If the applications states C6, then it's C6 only. OP's 351W block casting number prefix is D1OE, which could refer to 1971 or 1972.

BushyTee: Where did you get that crap 1985 351W info from? As you can see, D1ZZ-6375-A was NOT replaced by another part number!

I apologize NumberDummy as I probably phrased my previous post wrong.

I just ment that the part autozone sells says it is a replacment for a ford flywheel with the part number #D1ZZ-6375-A.

My 351W shows to be from a 71 Torino but I just searched an 85 351W just to compare it to the replacement for a 71 351W.

Thanks,
Mike
