What does your odometer say? does it give you milage or does it give you a bunch of dashes?

Last edited by hubler13f; 12-10-2010 at 03:21 PM. Reason: said speedometer and meant odometer

Were you messing with a tuner before you had the problems? The reason I ask is because I wiped my PCM clean one time and the dash would light up but no cranky.

The most noticable thing was it gave me dashes on the odometer and not milage.

Dunno then I know that when the PCM is wiped or bad it will do exactly what you are saying with the dashes and all, but check out the no start check list in the tech folder.

Heres the link

That is exactly what mine did when the PCM was wiped.

It wouldn't crank.
It gave me dashes instead of milage
The OBD scanner did not recognize the PCM.

Do you have a tuner with custom tunes or a stock file saved?

If you have a way to haul it to the dealership, you could have them attempt to reflash the truck. If they are able to flash it and it starts up then the PCM may have been wiped. It would probably cost $60-$100 to reflash.

If the PCM is bad or it's a totally different problem it probably wont help, but they would be able to tell you if it is a bad PCM.

First thing to check is fuses and the starter relay. But sounds like your PCM might be toast.

Most likely it is reflash time, but try a system reset and see if it powers up... just for laughs.
