Top 10 Trucks Most Likely to Drive More Than 250K Miles!
According to a new study, these 10 trucks are more statistically likely to survive a quarter-million miles or more before landing in the scrap yard.
Going the Distance
Each year, the iSeeCars Longest-Lasting Cars study aims to find the vehicular models that are statistically the most likely to reach or exceed the 250,000-mile mark, based on real-world data. The 2025 version of this study is based on data collected for more than 174 million vehicles, in fact.
To come up with the top choices in this regard, iSeeCars looks at the average odometer reading for vehicles at each model year, then leans on a proprietary model to estimate the likelihood that it can reach the aforementioned mileage threshold. With that proverbial dust now settled, we can see that these are the top 10 trucks most likely to survive to 250k miles - and perhaps even exceed it.
10. Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD
Coming in at number 10 on this year's longest-lasting pickups list is the Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD, which has a 16 percent chance of hitting 250k miles - 1.2 times the segment average of 13 percent. It slips quite a bit from last year, when the same model ranked third, however.
9. Ram 2500
Next, we have the Ram 2500 in ninth place with a 17.3 percent shot at reaching the 250k-mile mark, which is 1.3 times the segment average - slipping one spot from 2024, when it ranked eighth.
8. Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD
The Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD came in eighth place this time around at 17.4 percent, or 1.3 times the segment average, falling down from fifth place in 2024.

5. GMC Sierra 2500HD
Next up, we have the GMC Sierra 2500HD in fifth place, as it has a 22 percent chance at making it to the quarter-million-mile mark, or 1.7 times greater than the average pickup. The Silverado 2500HD moves down one spot from 2024, however, when it ranked fourth on this same list.
4. Toyota Tacoma
The Toyota Tacoma is another regular on the list of longest-lasting pickups, ranking fourth this year with a 25.3 percent chance of hitting 250k - two times greater than the mean. It's a big move up the charts, too, as the Tacoma finished ninth in 2024.

As for the Super Duty lineup, the Ford F-450 achieved the highest score this time around, ranking fourth with a 28.5 percent chance of reaching 250k miles, or 2.2 times the segment average. It's quite notable as well, since the F-450 didn't make the top 10 last year.
2. Toyota Tundra
