Mud Eater

Most Ford fans know exactly who Velocity Restorations is. The Pensacola, Florida-based builder is responsible for creating some of the most amazing vintage Bronco restomods on the planet. But that's not all they do. They've also built this incredible, mud-eating 2006 Ford F-350 monster truck, and we spotted it over at Hemmings.

Unknown Origins

Interestingly, the same guys who rebuild Broncos too nice to drive through the mud have also constructed this insane machine. Maybe they wanted to have a little guilt-free mud-bogging experience. Or perhaps somebody traded it in on a Bronco. All we know is, this thing is incredibly cool.

Legal Fun Machine

This Ford F-350 is obviously built to conquer any mud pit nature throws at it. But with a trailer-loaded overall height of 10ft 5in, it's also perfectly road legal. So you can trailer it to events without having to worry about taking out any low-hanging overpasses.

Zero Issues

The truck is also being sold with a 37' dovetail 3-axle trailer, so it's pretty much ready to enjoy right off the bat. And it's fresh off a weekend of fun at Iron Horse Mud Ranch in Perry, Florida, where it reportedly had zero issues.

Going Strong

That really isn't a surprise, given the durability of these diesel Fords. But this one has undergone some maintenance work over the last three months that should have it going strong for years to come. That includes basic stuff, of course. Things like an oil and filter change, new fuel filters, and an air cleaner. The serpentine belt is also new, along with two fresh batteries.

Going Deep

But the crew at Velocity also performed some more extensive work as well. They flushed the SCS transfer case, inspected all the bearings, and replaced the output shaft. New heavy duty driveshafts were fitted, along with a driveshaft brake and kingpins.

Rebuild or Replace

They continued by rebuilding the front 3rd member and front axles, as well as installing new axle bearings, seals, and races front and rear.

All the Goods

A slew of new and upgraded components was also installed, including King coilovers, an SCS transfer case, 5-ton rebuilt axles, and of course, enormous 23.1-30 monster truck tires.
