7 Rarest Ford Trucks Ever Built

Rarity isn't often what we associate America's best-selling truck brand with normally, but these models are indeed few and far in between!

Rarest of the Rare

Over the years, Ford has certainly built its fair share of trucks - many millions of them, in fact, as it continues to hold onto the best-selling crown via its mega-popular F-Series lineup. However, Ford has also churned out small quantities of certain models, too. These seven Ford trucks are the rarest of that bunch - as well as some other special editions stemming from third parties as well.

1967 Ford Bronco Half Cab

The 1967 Ford Bronco Half Cab was one of several early Bronco variants, in this case, offering customers a small but rugged pickup. However, shoppers didn't exactly flock to the Bronco Half Cab, as Ford ultimately produced just 2,602 of them in the 1967 model year - and we doubt that most of them are still around today.

2011 Ford F-150 SVT Raptor SuperCrew

The Ford F-150 SVT Raptor may be a legend today, but it had rather humble beginnings as The Blue Oval kicked off production. In fact, the 2011 model in SuperCrew configuration is the rarest of that bunch, as it touted a rather low production total of just 2,314 units.

2006 Ford SVT Explorer Sport Trac Adrenalin

Speaking of rare, many may not even be aware of the fact that Ford built a sportier version of its Explorer-based Sport Trac pickup - the Adrenalin. However, only around 6,000 of them were built in total, and just 600 were equipped with the 4.6-liter V8 from the factory, too, making that specific combination one of the rarest to ever come from Ford.

2008 Ford F-150 Foose Edition

The 2008 Ford F-150 Foose Edition was a joint effort between the automaker and legendary artist Chip Foose, and it's a sleekly styled piece that looks completely custom from every angle. However, just 500 units of this street machine were built in total, making it a rare sight today.

1987 Ford F-250 BigFoot Cruiser

It's not quite as rare as the 1987 Ford F-250 BigFoot Cruiser, however, which was created to celebrate the legendary monster truck of the same name. Thanks to an issue with its cruise control system and subsequent recall, the F-250 BigFoot Cruiser, specifically, was limited to just 300 units of production, though this same package was also available on other models.

2016 Ford F-150 Tonka Edition

The 2016 Ford F-150 Tonka Edition is quite literally a grown man's toy, sporting the same bright yellow paint as the smaller versions we played with in our younger days. However, the Tonka Edition - which was built by Tuscany Motor Company - didn't quite hit its production goal of 200 units, and instead, just 128 were sold in total.

1991 Ford Ranger SkyRanger

Finally, we have the rarest Ford truck out there, the Ranger SkyRanger, which also wasn't a Blue Oval creation - rather, it was the brainchild of Bob Kaiser from Professional Auto Crafters. The SkyRanger is essentially a sporty, convertible version of the small pickup, and while exact production numbers aren't known, all of them are less than 20 - making it the rarest of this bunch by a long shot.
