1979 F600 decode

Good day! Sorry to hijack the post but this is the closest I've come to finding relevant info on the tag in my newly acquired F-600 (F61MCDF2630)n 3 days of searching the net! If it's OK and allowed ( and I can figure out how! ) I'll try and post a couple pics. I just got the truck 4 days ago and would like to know what it has for engine , etc. I will be fixing it up, and am excited to get started. But first I need some info. Hope someone can help me with that. Thanks in advance. Cheers

Welcome to FTE.

Your post was edited to remove the irrelevant decode quote and your other post was a duplicate.

F61 = F600 gas, 4x2

M = 370 4V "Lima" gas V8

C = Ontario Truck Plant

DF2630 = 1979 model year. I do not have the "by month" info for '79

194 = 194 inch wheelbase

S = Bright Dark Blue Metallic

F615 = F600 gas, 4x2, 23,000 lbs GVWR

DB8
DB I do not have upholstery info for '79
8 = With the "DB", Regular Cab, Cab and Chassis vehicle.

32
3 = Dana (Spicer) model 7231-D PTO Auxiliary Transmission. This seems odd. Why an aux. trans with a 5 & 2? Maybe just the PTO? Does your truck have two transmissions?
2 = Clark model 282V five speed direct transmission

E3M (Please confirm)
E3 = Eaton model 16244 two speed rear axle, 17,500 lbs capacity, 6.50 / 9.04 ratios
M = Ford 7,000 lb capacity front axle with power steering

B65031
B6 = Ford of Canada, Western Ford District Sales Office
5031 = Special Order Number.
