Pedal Assembly Bushing Conversion?
I plan on doing a few upgrades to it - one being the ZF5 swap. I've already bought a transmission, pedal assembly, no-shifter steering column, et cetera, et cetera. I was wondering if anyone has done anything to upgrade their pedal shaft bushings such as machine their own brass/bronze bushings or even a roller bearing conversion? Has anyone blown a steering column apart and done any upgrades to it? What are some popular upgrades I should look into for an IDI F250? I'm new to the world of diesel trucks.
Here's a short background on me - I'm Matt and I build high end hot rods for a world class hot rod shop in central Texas and oftentimes work with CNC machined parts and machine my own stuff on an upright mill and lathe. So I usually go overkill on stuff but I like pushing the limits of what's possible and elevating stuff where I can. I plan on keeping this truck for a long while so I like knowing these parts are going to last. I might start a build thread just to document everything I've done to my truck so I can share with the community. Is there a sub-forum dedicated to build threads?
Thanks in advance!
