HEI Dsitributors
Currently have my truck torn down and thinking since I have it down this far maybe do a few things I have thought about in the past.
Current set up is a 1984 302 with Duraspark ignition.
Cons- coil, ignition module box, wires every where, no room around the carb because of coil and distributor plugs.
HEI
2 wires much cleaner look.
So far I have read there are many cheap ones to avoid. May have to raise my air cleaner and there maybe a issue with the water pump bypass hose on the thermostat hosing.
Thanks,
Will

They do take more wiring but I like the fact that the module can be changed out in minutes and I always carry one
Not sure what the options for a 302 HEI are but I absolutely would not want to trade my motorcraft distributor for a China made one.

No interference with the 10" air cleaner on the '34, but will have to raise the 13" cleaner on the F1. No clearance problems with the bypass hose, but you will need to watch the fitting for the heater return. I am not aware of any problem suppliers but wouldn't get it from Ali Babba.
Advantage to me was getting rid of the ignition box and the coil, especially on the '34.
