Courtesy lights

Hey everyone. I'm looking to install some courtesy lights on my 2023 super duty. I wanted to see if anybody had a quick reference as to which fuse location is best to power this acc. The lights are LED so I would assume they don't draw too much power.

Where on the truck do you intend on installing them? I ask because where might dictate how.

Think he means floor lights aka courtesy lights. you tie into dome light at or before fuse box.

I'm looking to install running board lights, on the underside of the cab just above the running board. I'm also considering an underhood light.

Why not go off a fuse?

[QUOTE=GP_RZ;21718808]Why not go off a fuse?[/QUOTE

Someone recommended i use a piggy back fuse adapter and tap into a fuse that currently activates the factory courtesy lights,. Are piggy back adapters a good idea? And what fuse controls the courtesy lights? The fuse box cover only has fuse location numbers, no description of what the fuse powers?

I am doing the same, looking to install footwell lights on my XL. The dome lights do not run off of a fuse. They are controlled by the module on the passenger side footwell. I traced the power wire to the gray wire with a blue stripe. I too do not want to cut into factory wiring but see no other way. I'll post if I continue. If you did the install, post the results please.

Does your truck have the interior ambient lighting?
