time for brakes or not?
Opinions wanted.
Do you think they need replaced yet or wait until the end of the season? I am repacking wheel bearings so thought I'd see what everyone thinks. This is on the door side rear axle. Door side front looks comparable so even wear on this side of the trailer.
Have not looked at the other side but I'd expect about the same.
No cracking or signs of failure on these two.
As far as miles are concerned I added it up one time and I recall total miles being north of 25K.

It's hard to say by just looking at one because they don't wear evenly from one wheel to the next because of voltage drop and each wheel has individual parts that can act differently. I would also check the tab the magnet sets on to make sure it's solid and then look at the magnet to make sure you can't see the coil embedded in the epoxy, if you can replace them. Next look at the surface the coil makes contact with and see if it's smooth. If you decide to replace them I would get complete backing plate assemblies so you start with all new parts.

The shoes normally don't have thick lining like cars do so they look safe for now but don't be surprised if the left side has a little more wear because of voltage drop if your wires are feed from that side. I've always contributed the drop from the small wires running through the axles. If the other side looks close to this side I think you will be safe for smother another year. I would strongly consider converting to disk brakes in the future if you plan on keeping the trailer, I'm glad I did but we plan on keeping the trailer until it's no longer serviceable.
