Double light bar

Only seen this done by this Ford dealership, has anyone else cut the grill of their truck to put light bars above and below it?
Thought it looked pretty good.

Concerning the lights that are mounted vertically just outside of the tow hooks, are they spot or flood beams and how beneficial are they?
