Forscan Quetion -- Line 92 -- Enable Auto Regen Checkbox

Hello -- I enabled this feature, per instructions on the spreadsheet and now have the checkbox option (and it does toggle).

My question(s): Will this enable me to begin a regen while in park and after the DPF filter hits 100%? If auto regen is toggled on (checked), will regen still occur while driving?

If toggled off, I assume auto regen will not occur and could land me at the dealer.

Thanks in advance! Oz

Thank you for the reply...My other half was rushing me to run errands when I posted...so I neglected to mention 2018 F250 Lariat.

Thanks again!

I noticed this to when I scanned my truck. If I enable maual regen can I do it myself? How? Is it just an option on the screen when it hit's 100%? I have a pretty much base model 17 XLT. I never know when it is regenerating. It doesn't say anything about it. It was freaking me out at first until someone told me it doesnt tell you.

My understanding is that if the DPF is at 100% the option to regen, upon engine start, will be presented...at that point, you can do the regen while parked. The only way to force a regen (that I know of) is to use the Ford Factory Software. My 2018 6.7 is new (4400 miles) and has not yet done a regen...although after the feature add of "show DPF %," I can see that I am now sitting at 75% clogged.

Your truck has regened a minimum 8 times in the mileage that you’ve driven, and I’d bet that you’ve actually regened a lot more than that! The truck knows when to do it and does it in a way so you don’t need to worry about. It’s so smooth that you didn’t even know it. I think this is the reason that Ford doesn’t put the DPF% screen on the dash from the factory. They don’t want you to be so focused on the whole regen thing, they just want you to drive your truck and enjoy it not worry about when or if it’s going to regen.

You’ve got got an awesome truck, turn the key and drive!
