How much lift is the Snow Plow/Camper on the front?

First post-

Just got a F350 CC LWB with the Snow plow/Camper option. I am putting on an Alaskan Camper and 17" wheels with more than likely 35" Toyo's or Nitto's. I will be doing very close to 50% off-road with some wash board and rocks. I want to put on much better shocks front and rear- but not sure how much the front and rear raised with the SP/C option. Anyone out there have any ideas?

About an inch. Maybe inch and a half. There isn’t one “base” spring to compare with.

Wondering now what just the camper
package does. I thought that gave heavier springs up front, more than stock, to give some lift in front. But not as high as the “dual” option

The snow plow prep automatically gives you the 5900# front springs. The camper package gives you a rear overload and rear sway bar. I could be wrong, but other then the overload spring I don’t think the camper part of the package adds any height to the rear.

camper package alone gives you rear overload spring and sway bar. Doesn’t change anything about the front (to my understanding). The snow plow prep affects only the front and the camper only the rear.

So toymaster- how much of an increase is it? It looks like almost 1.5" to 2" to me.

^^^^^^^ Historically, the max front suspension (currently the SP option) is ~1 1/2". Off course, a reg cab would be a little more vs CC. The two pictured are both CC's.

I know that, at least when I ordered my truck, I got the heavy front service springs as part of the camper package and the consumer info sheet, that my sales dealer misplaced.

Are you FX4?

I'd have to look at my build sheet to see but I recall that you only got the upgraded fronts if you didn't already have them from another option. Not sure. I'd have to look but my recollection is that the snowplow/camper gives you 2 up springs (same as on the heavy service front suspension package) while camper only gives you 1. I have a 250 but I think this is the same for 350.

I've been all over the ford documentation and no package or option will give you "2 up". The choice is one up (with HD springs) or max (with SP).

I’d think with the “one up” heavy front springs on camper package, the front would at least be lifted slightly higher, although not as high as snow plow package

That is the language in the ordering guide in reference to the camper package. The 2 up refers to the standard springs on the 4x2.

"Includes: Extra Heavy front service springs (4x2) (2 up upgrade above the spring computer selected as a consequence of the options chosen)"

See also the front spring rate differences:

Base = 5200#
Camper or HD Spring Pkg = 5600#
Plow Prep Pkg. = 5990#

^^^^ Well that explains it, I only look at 4x4. No wonder I missed it!
