Brought home my new 17' 6.7 250 last night
After calling or emailing every dealer in Georgia that had remotely close to what I wanted, I was able to trade in my 2016 F150 5.0 Lariat for the 17' F250 Lariat below. I came close to stepping up to a Platinum but just couldn't justify the extra 5-6k that would have required. Found a number of KR but I absolutely cannot stand that Java interior, which is unfortunate.
Anyway, put about 100 miles on it to get home yesterday and this morning I already updated a few Forscan items (got rid of double-honk, seat belt chime, etc.) Was a bit disappointed to see we cannot currently update the dash/IPC module. Haven't done much research on that yet to see why but there are a few items I would like to change there as well.
Bakflip VP cover was ordered before I left work for the dealership on Friday. I had a bedrug on my 150 but as the dealer felt it necessary to apply bedliner to this one I opted just for the bedrug mat.
Truck drives nice! It is certainly quite large. Actually, it is pretty huge but doesn't feel too bad going down the road. I had Roadmaster active helper springs on the rear of the 150 along with Fox 2.0 shocks and a Helwig sway bar, so it was somewhat stiff already. The 250 rides nearly the same but expansion joints in the highway are certainly more noticeable. I dropped tire pressure down to 60 f/r and noticed it helped a bit this morning.
I will say, I am slightly disappointed in the lane keep option. I did not have that on my 150 and was pretty happy to get it on this truck only to realize it is just a warning and no assist. I wasn't looking to doze off at the wheel or anything but assumed (my mistake) that the Lane Keep system did both the alert and assist as is done on all other Fords, including the 150 IIRC. Not a huge deal but does make me less likely to use or utilize this feature now.
Initial fuel consumption appears to be better than the V8 F150, if only marginally. I've heard and read these 6.7s do get better as they break-in so that is promising.
Ultimately, towing is why I purchased this truck. I have a 4800# 24' inTech enclosed car trailer I use to go race and the 1/2 ton was getting blown around too much, even with an equal-i-zer hitch.
Long first post, but happy to be in a capable truck! Hopefully it will be dependable for a long time!
Obligatory photo
Bonus, my measurements paid off. Thanks to others who posted on the forum, I was able to fit my truck inside my 7' basement garage door. It is tight, but looks like it should be no problem as I don't plan on leveling or changing the wheel/tire combo.

Lol, thanks everyone!
Yeah, the inTech trailers are super nice! It was a pretty expensive purchase but I built/optioned it nearly exactly the way I wanted. However.....had I known I was going to be upgraded to a SuperDuty so soon, I would have probably considered doing things slightly differently (either longer, or possibly a gooseneck).
These are a few of the toys that get loaded into the trailer and towed around by the 250.

This is what I ordered. I am a pretty big fan. I did a bunch of looking around trying to find a solution that was functional but also didn't look terrible and this was the best option I could find. Edit - there are multiple sizes if you need more or less than 4 jugs.
Fuel Jug Rack, Two Level, Holds Up To 4 Jugs, Bare - Hepfner Racing Products - -
In my last trailer I had what was basically just a large bin, that held 3 jugs. It had to be mounted on top of the work bench simply due to weight whereas this one was free standing. The bottom jugs are slightly difficult to get in and out but other than that, no complaints!.
