i did this recall a couple years ago, i just noticed the brown and orange parts are all wet, unsure how long its been this way, but isnt the point of the recall so this switch does not leak, and to add a fuse? its dry now after i wiped it down, should i go back to the dealer? also, how does this issue start a fire in the first place?

The recall had nothing to do with the switch getting wet.

 

The connector has power all the time. Purpose of the fuse is to prevent a fire if the connector leaks and shorts out. Keep an eye on it and replace the orange sensor if it keeps getting wet (oily). A few truck members on here had their rigs burn up because that connector caught fire, thus the recall.

 

replacing the orange switch, is it just an unplug, unscrew, screw the new one in and go? some threads say the brake system will need to be bled?
