ABS questions (newbie question)

Thanks in advance for your help.

I have a 1995 F350 crew cab long-bed gas (460) truck with disc brakes up front and drum in the rear. I don't know if ABS was an option that year or not? I do know that if I am supposed to have ABS the ABS doesn't work. I am curious if my truck simply doesn't have ABS.

Is there an easy way to figure this out?

THanks

all trucks made after 86 had some form of ABS, but most of the early systems were pretty much useless.
my bet is it was disabled by a previous owner because it was not working properly.

Rear Anti-lock Brakes (RABS) was standard on this vintage truck. Many claim it does not work well. I never had an issue with it.

As rla2005 said, the ABS on your '96 would be rear only, so if you are locking your front tires that doesn't mean the ABS isn't working.

Rear ABS is mostly useful for automatically adjusting the brakes for different loads. It also helps keep the truck from spinning in a hard stop.
