What is the Hot Set Up to improving head lights...
So I did the leveling kit thing and went to 35's and now I'm needing to re adjust my headlights. Maybe it's just me but they really suck compared to all my other vehicles.
So what is the answer... HID bulbs, New non fogged lens, after market projection lens.... What are you guys using that works well. I'm sure an adjustment will help but I have never been impresses with the lighting. I'm thinking change them out then adjust. Ideas? Mine is an 01 so how new can I go and still have them fit?

I tried better bulbs, I tried replacement lights, I tried replacement lights with higher watt bulbs & relays but each was only a slight improvement over the old cloudy original lights. I now have 05-07 style with retrofit projectors, the difference is night & day, you see what I did there!

Light bars are wonderful but ya don't want to get caught with them on on the street in So Calif. they are great for off road though. I just drilled some holes in my bumper with the thought of mounting hid's behind them. Thought it less conspicuous than the bars but still helps a great deal. But even with those I need to do something with the head lights. I'm sure liking what I've seen here so far.

I'm using these bulbs:

And I got a heavy duty harness/relay package for the 9007 bulbs from:

When it comes to electricity, wiring, and anything amp, volt, resistance, ohms, related, I have zero intelligence regarding that field, so can you please explain why a relay harness is needed and what it does? Thanks!

Like SRBF150 I upgraded my headlight housings, bulbs and harness.
Bulbs:
Headlight Housing:
Harness:
Very similar to the link SRBF150 provided, but from Ebay.
The housings cleared things up very nicely. The bulbs are much brighter and the beam seems to be more focused, not like a projector but definitely noticeable. The harness provides clean and ample power to the headlight bulbs directly from the battery. The gauge of the harness wire is much thicker than what the OEM wiring is. I was having a small amount of light flutter/flicker when sitting at a traffic light, but the upgraded harness cleared that up.

Yep, as Sous indicated, the purpose for the relay harness is to increase amperage capacity to the higher watt bulbs. A benefit of this is also that the load is removed from all the factory wiring and isolated to the harness which is much shorter and heavier gauge so, it will usually provide an increase in voltage. The harness will use the factory wiring to trigger the relays for low/high beam.

Just thought I would put the link up to the bumper light thread... No need to duplicate a thread.
