Bed bolt
Hi guys, trying to button down my bed, and the bolt that was in the left very front hole was so rusted when I got the bed that I had to cut it off. It was rounded like a carriage bolt, but it had a phillips head, and it then screwed into a speed nut which clipped over the frame. Having a heck of a time finding either the bolt or the speed nut. Anyone know where I might be able to find these? Thanks.

Dennis Carpenter has the correct bolts but the nuts in his set aren't the right ones. The original nuts were crimped lock nuts, his set has regular nuts and lock washers.
In the picture the DC bolt is at the lower left.

Well I know where I'll be getting my carriage bolts from. Still want to do the speed nut thing and hex head bolt though so will still look for that somewhere.

LMC's bolts are just regular 1/2" carriage bolts, you can buy the same thing at Lowe's, Home Depot, Ace, etc. (I've got a set if anybody wants it)

you got that right! LMC's kit is no better than the hardware store carriage bolts.
Already made that mistake! They are still sitting in my toolbox. At some point I have to use what I bought even though I know they are incorrect and I over paid for them!

Trust me, special to only the SuperCabs, dealership, about 8 or 9 bucks for the two bolts, the others are standard.

its been so long since I took apart my 2 supercab trucks that I dont even remember what the front of the bed had for hardware.
Anyone have a picture of the front bolts on their supercab?

The phillips head bolt in the L/H corner were used on quite a few trucks. They were NOT a supercab only item. They were used when there was a framerail mounted tank. You cannot get in on top of the tank to screw a nut on. Therefore, they used the phillips head and speed nut in the left front corner.............
