Hey I recently bought a 351w roller short block of of ebay i already have some cast iron heads for it (windsor jr. 180cc). I am puting this in my 83 bronco, i use it for towing a 26 ft. boat. I need to choose a cam for this so i can have low end power. I got one sugestion that i should use the ford B303 cam, but i wanted to see what you guys think
Are you using an auto or manual trans.?I put an e-303 FMS in my Bronco with an automatic and she hates it.I believe all these cams are for cars.I don't think you will get the Torque range low enough for that truck with any of the FMS cams.
call compcam that would be your best resource on this. tell them what you have and your plans for the motor. the ford cams are more suited for cars so dont bother.
it would help if we knew what year your driving. because if its efi and running speed density then your cam selection is limited. if its carbed then you have more options
i did post what year it was its a 1983 Ford Bronco Auto Trans with a 351w
I have been hearing nothing but crap about that B303 cam so i have decided to scratch it and maybe go with a comp cam or some type of RV cam
thanks any more performance upgrades would be nice to
i want to get some high performance maybe about 350+ HP
and enough torque to get me going I live around a lot of hills so i need plenty of power

i bought a Isky 262 is this any good, the guy at the performance shop said this would be a good cam and made me change my firing order to a 302's firing order, has anyone heard anythiing about these isky cams
well i went to the high performance shop around here, which i know the guy and he is pretty knowledgable about cars because i have taken all of my vehicles there to find out what kind of parts would work out best, so i beleived in him, i think this should be a pretty good cam choice though. It is a for a 302, 262 Isky supercam
