Some follow up. i completed the body work on the fenders and got them primed. I had to modify the running boards a bit at the same time. Looks so much better now.
I also bought some new front shocks, using a much heavier spring rate. I was able then to raise the ride height. And these coilovers have more travel as well. Took the truck out for a test drive over some bumpy roads today. What an amazing difference in the ride quality.
I should have had my fenders and hood AI'd over the winter so this one I'm working on could be finished...lol

Very nice custom touches on your running boards. An old truck buddy once told me that the best mods to a truck are those that aren't easily noticed by a knowledgeable person... in other words, they know it's different but they have to look hard to find what it is. Nice job!

Yes this is what i would like. Thinking the mirrors will stay black. Unsure about the front bumper, stainless steel or black at this point. Now to retire and have time to do that work.

Thanks Charlie. Now every body panel has been modified. The goal was always to rework things but for the average person they would not notice. i find most of the stuff that people notice is a bit over the top for me. Think, big top chops. I have actually started a photo album to show off the body mods.
Looks really good. I did something really similar to the rear of my running boards, but I haven’t done the front yet because my front fenders will be getting replaced with better ones.
