yeah... their website leaves much to be desired!
i am just saying that i KNOW they had a legal issue in the past due to problems with an item they were manufacturing... but it was for some complicated IFS setup ... not a simple setup like ours (one that pretty much any monkey with a fab shop can start a suspension company for.... remember Abendx Skyhigh Suspensions.... that was a proof of concept that even I could own a suspension company by bubble gum welding beer cans together... my point was that this is not a difficult venture).
so.... i'd guess that they probably don't have much to worry about a hanger... as you said, why so much for a piece of steel?
The spring hanger is the front mount for the leaf springs. The hanger is a fixed mount. The shackle is what the rear of the leaf springs attaches to. The shackle pivots and when the leaf springs compress the wheel is moved up and back.
Hanger and shackle lift will provide lift......they can be used in combination with leaf springs or instead of leaf springs. The benefit of using them is that if they are the only source of lift with your stock leaf springs then there is no increase in spring rate. When used in combination with a lift spring you can use a smaller leaf pack so that you don't have an overly huge arched leaf pack and are able to get a better ride.
