Hell, a while back, I twisted up some prototype shock hoops, left them laying around the shop to long and someone cut them up on me.
At this point, I am to lazy and uninterested in it anymore.
Originally posted by abendx ok... cool. be careful, word is unless you buy all the goodies (if you go with the cool guy kit), you'll get no backing if something goes wrong.
You keep bringing this up and still have no idea what you are takling about.......
I've asked you in two prevoius posts and you never responded and I will ask again:
What DR products were on the truck when he wanted his springs warrantied??
And I don't think that crossover steering and trac bar relocation are just extra goodies.......it's for safety and proper steering geometry.
CWB seems like a level headed guy.... why would he lie about his woes with your boyfriend?
i highly doubt his real worlld experience is like some ppls.... i don't think he learned about this problem from miss cleo as some do.
dc, do us all a favor.... buy a 'cool guy' suspension so you can talk from experience, not a bunch of hype and spam that you bought into. in fact..... go out and buy a lot of products... you seem to have so much to say about so many products, yet you have little actual experience with any of them.
I don't think that CWB lied per say........just didn't tell the whole story here. I contacted him and he told me what the deal was.
If he bought the springs at Deaver, had no x-over, no trac bar relocation, and the hangers he had weren't Donahoe's, and he runs King shocks what products are DR's??
So, me looking at lifts and riding in them doesn't count as experience.
I look at a lot of other products too, just giving my opinion about them......kind of thought that was the point of the forum to share opinions and ideas about truck related stuff.
why would he lie about his woes with your boyfriend?
Didn't you post once that something like the above quote is a flame and you rarely if ever do that .
This was a little while back so let me see if I can remember everything.....
He took the truck back to Jeff Crosby over at Deaver spring and w/o x-over steering Jeff didn't want to have any liability if he worked on the truck. He sold him a ORU x-over ( I believe he gave him a bit of a price break). At somepoint in there Jeff rearched the springs and put in an add-a-leaf per CWBs request (he wanted a little more height). When they were installed the truck was being pulled down on the driver's side giving it the appearance of the springs not being even........it was determined that the trac bar was pulling down on it and he sold him a box kit (includes trac bar relocation brackets with 35" adjustable trac bar). Since he still wanted the truck higher Jeff agreed to swap him out for a set of 8" front springs.
You can see from that link that Kreg and Jeff both called CWB and I'm not sure what happened from that point on.
