One quick question, how are you handling corrosion near your bolts? Ford specifies sacrificial aluminum washers with steel or stainless bolts and screws for aftermarket. Some manf are also using rubber well nuts or aluminum hardware. Maybe add some aluminum washers to the kit? (they are cheap at mcmaster-carr)
I also wonder about making the plates from stainless and rounding the corners that slightly stick out to cover the latch? Shouldn't affect laser time and since the part is so small there isn't much additional cost for stainless.

I do worry about this too. Is this safe to install or should we get different hardware to install?
Good news for those who have been waiting. Our fabricator has delivered our next batch of plates. We have made a few changes that improve the product. We have tweaked the shape a bit and replaced the stainless steel bolt with a press fit PEMS stud.
We are now selling the plates in a kit with stainless steel tamper proof screws (and a bit) for the tail lights, and a stainless steel fastener to block the access hole to the hidden tailgate release. Want to learn more, about the plates, or the hidden tailgate release? Please visit our product information site at: www.LatchLid.com
The kits are available on Ebay. Search for "LatchLid Theft"
F150 kits are on order. We will update this post when they arrive.
The kit arrived in the mail today. They work perfectly on my 2022 F250. The install was easy and only took about 20 minutes. The entire process from purchase to delivery was easy and without incident. I know it won't stop determined thieves, but I hope it creates just enough hassle/deterrent to hopefully sway them to move on.
