First time poster looking for help. Last week I replaced the alternator in my '89 Ranger. Re-charged the battery and it still wouldn't start. Found that the battery would no longer hold a charge, so replaced that. No juice to the cab of the truck. Even replaced the started relay on the wheel well, and the positive bettery cable. The negative cable looks okay. No interior lights or anything. Checked the fuses in the distribution box, and they're all good.
Just in case I had the relay wired wrong, I put the old one back in. Still no juice. I'm at a loss what to try next. Any suggestions?
Trying to get this running for my sixteen year old. After I get this fixed, there'll be lots of other questions, I'm sure.
No power into the truck atall???? Sounds like your on the right track, fresh battery, good cables, good ground, starter solynoid, do you have headlights, any power anywhere????? Would have to check fuseable links, connections at the fuse box???
Oh yeah... Welcome to the FTE
