My truck came with a number of old, crusty, nasty bumper stickers on it. They're crumbly, and that paery was easy to get off, but there are portions that are really stuck on well. Is there any easy way to get them off? I don't really want to go at them with a paint scraper and scratch up the rear bumper...
Plain ordinary rubbing alcohol will usually dissolve the glue. Just keep it wet with the alcohol so it can keep eating away at it. You might want to sacrifice a plastic windshield scraper to help you out.
They make a rubber eraser you can get at your local autobody supply store that goes on your drill that will pull them right off, it's typically used for vinyl, but will work on any sticker.
Windex and a razor blade. I've been using this method for over a decade for personal use and on car lots.
I second that method. It is also handy for cleaning the mirrors and windshield. The razor blade will skim the crud, giving a cleaner view. Also 0000 steel wool is good for cleaning chrome and windows.
